Well what can we say about Niku and Mark's wedding apart from WOW WOW WOW! On a sunny Saturday 27th May 2023 we had the pleasure of hosting this stunning wedding, a day filled with so much love, colour, sunshine, entertainment, Bengali love songs and wedding rings made by the bride and groom!

Their day was not only filled with great memories but also great food, with Niku and Mark choosing panko fried goats cheese with beetroot jam and rocket salad for starters, Thyme roasted chicken breast with a beetroot and potato rosti, tenderstem broccoli, confit carrot, chicken gravy as the main and vanilla crème brulee with shortbread for dessert. In the evening we served up our crowd pleasers - fish and chip cones.

We asked Niku and Mark why they chose the Sun Pavilion?

The Sun Pavilion holds a special place in Mark's heart. As a teenager he would regularly sketch from the terrace of The Sun Pavilion, which made our venue the perfect choice. We also asked the happy couple what made their day really special, they answered by saying they loved seeing all their friends and families faces and picking a sunny day made their day extra special.

Any advice for couples planning their own wedding?

For couples currently starting or in the mist of wedding planning, Niku and Mark have some words of advice "Don't over-involve everyone in every little decision, but devolve power when it gets closer to the day. We had a 'logistics zoom call' the week before, where we ran through roles and the schedule. We had very specific roles, even a 'chief of sparklers' who's job was to hand out the sparklers at 10 o'clock!"

This day just proved that you don't have to stick with wedding traditions that don’t suit you, just make the day your own and it'll be spectacular. Niku you were an absolute vision in red and Mark, you were very dapper and handsome!
