On a beautiful Saturday 7th October 2023, we welcomed Lauren and Nathan to the Sun Pavilion for their wedding reception. They exchanged their vows at The Church of St. Wilfrid and the celebration continued at the Sun Pavilion. Join us as we explore what made their day truly special.

The day was filled with enchantment, and there were two standout elements that made it extraordinary. First, Beato Burrito, their Mexican mariachi band, added an unexpected and unforgettable dimension to the celebration. Their lively melodies and spirited performance brought an irresistible energy to the day. The second special touch was the exceptional staff at the Sun Pavilion. Lauren and Nathan expressed their deep appreciation for the professionalism and "can-do" attitude of every staff member. Their unwavering support helped the couple and their guests feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the day. We asked Lauren and Nathan why they chose the Sun Pavilion?

We asked Lauren and Nathan our favourite question, why the chose the Sun Pavilion and they replied, 'We both grew up in Harrogate and Knaresborough, regularly visiting the Valley Gardens as children. I used to come and watch shows at the Sun Pavilion from a young age and always said I would have my wedding here. There was never any other choice for us.'

Any advice for couples planning their own wedding?

We also took the opportunity to pick Lauren and Nathan's brians, asking for advice to help other couples currently on their wedding planning journey. They offered brilliant advice and we couldn't agree more: 'Enjoy every minute. Nothing has to be traditional, but everything has to be you. Make it your day, do things with meaning to you and because you want them, not because it’s tradition or just ‘the way it’s done’. Guests remember being involved.'
