Bethany ClarkeJoanne and Harry's September Wedding
The Sun Pavilion, a haven of love and celebration nestled in the heart of Harrogate's Valley Gardens. On Saturday 10th September 2022, we had the honour of hosting the extraordinary wedding of Jo and Harry. Their special day was a testament to their love, surrounded by family, friends, and the enchanting beauty of our venue.
Jo and Harry's day was made truly special by the presence of their friends and family, who gathered to celebrate in unison. While the dedicated Sun Pavilion team orchestrated the day with finesse, allowing the couple and their guests to revel in each moment. Guests were treated to an array of canapés, from Mushroom Arancini Balls to our iconic Mini Battered Fish to Chicory Cups with Avocado and Salsa. The sumptuous meal featured a starter of Pumpkin Tortellini with Chestnut and Creamy Sage Beurre Noisette, a main course boasting Roast Sirloin of Beef and a tempting dessert of Traditional Crème Brûlée with Shortbread and Fresh Berries. As the evening progressed, Yorkshire Pork Pies with Mushy Peas and Mint Sauce satisfied appetites during the evening.
We asked Jo and Harry why they chose the Sun Pavilion?
When asked about choosing The Sun Pavilion as their wedding venue, Jo and Harry said: "The Sun Pavilion is perfectly located in Valley Gardens in the middle of Harrogate, we loved having the park as a backdrop and that the venue, would be straightforward for our guests to get to. When we viewed the venue we loved the dome and how bright the space is inside and outside. It was also important for us to choose a venue that was accessible for people with mobility problems which the Sun Pavilion is set up perfectly for - all our guests felt comfortable and able to be fully included in the day. We knew it was the venue for us on our first viewing when the team were so professional and welcoming."
Any advice for couples planning their own wedding?
Jo and Harry have valuable advice: "Our tips would be to accept any help offered by family and friends and to think about booking suppliers early!"
The collaborative effort of dedicated suppliers contributed to the day, Roosters Brewing Co. an award-winning craft brewery founded in Harrogate, was the epitome of personalised choice, reflecting Jo and Harry's affinity for their home. Their first dance to Percy Sledge's soulful "When a Man Loves a Woman" marked the start of a lifetime of memories.
As we reflect on Jo and Harry's wedding day, we'd like to extend our warmest wishes to the happy couple, hoping that their journey ahead is filled with joy, laughter, and an unwavering bond.
