After two postponements of their original plans, Henry & Sarah were legally married in August 2021 at Marylebone Town Hall. Nine months later their friends and family gathered on the terrace of The Sun Pavilion to celebrate their relationship with a Humanist Ceremony, led by Rob Dale from Tying the Knot Ceremonies. With Henry originally from Essex and Sarah from Munich, guests had travelled from far and wide to witness the very personal Ceremony which featured readings, vows & promises, and the lighting of a unity candle.

We asked Henry & Sarah why they chose The Sun Pavilion

"We saw the Pavilion and directly fell in love with it! No other venue compares with it. The pavilion is so beautiful, caters for every need and is in the middle of a park. Nothing left to wish for really."

"The ceremony was lovely, Henry’s vows we’re making everyone cry, the flowers were outstanding. The cake and food were incredible, the speeches lovely. Everyone had a great time and our first dance went a lot better than we’d expected."

Henry, Sarah and their guests spent the afternoon playing games and enjoying their wedding cake in between informal speeches and gorgeous photographs captured out in Valley Gardens. A barbecue wedding breakfast was served early evening, accompanied by freeflowing wine and finished with a lovely light lemon posset. It was soon time to take to the dance floor, Henry & Sarah led the way with a fantastically choreographed routine to 'Somethin' Stupid' by Nancy & Frank Sinatra.

Any advice for couples planning their own wedding?

"Don’t invite too many guests if you would like to spend time with the people that really matter the most to you (we had around 55 guests and that was perfect). Make sure to really enjoy the day with your new husband / wife! Henry and I kept finding moments for just the two of us which made it really special."
