On a delightful Saturday 3rd June 2023, we had the immense privilege of hosting the enchanting wedding of Hannah and Rob. Their special day unfolded in The Sun Pavilion, where dreams come true amidst the beauty of nature and the elegance of our venue.
Hannah and Rob's wedding day was a blend of beauty and unique touches that left an indelible mark on all who attended and is a day we will definitely never forget. A gorgeous green and white colour scheme which complimented the venue perfectly, and with its seamless fusion of indoor and outdoor spaces, allowed Hannah and Rob's guests to explore and enjoy the beautiful Valley Gardens. Unique touches included a mini golf course equipped with personalised golf balls, love heart shaped fans, a bespoke wedding logo and lightsabers.
We asked Hannah and Rob why they chose the Sun Pavilion?
We were curious to know why Hannah and Rob Chose The Sun Pavilion, they said "The photos don't do the venue justice and we fell in love when we came in person. The staff were so attentive from the first meeting and we felt reassured that we would be looked after. Compared to other venues it was really good value and again the team were really happy to discuss the different options if we were worried about money."
Any advice for couples planning their own wedding?
Reflecting on their wedding planning journey, Hannah and Rob offered invaluable advice to other couples. "Enjoy the process as much as you can, chose suppliers who you trust. You pay for parts of your wedding with either money or your time so be smart and ask for help if you need it. Make sure your wedding screams you personally. Don't be afraid to do things that are different to make it YOUR wedding. Think about your guests but don't worry about them (they will entertain themselves by just catching up with people). And then finally, bring lightsabers haha!"
Hannah and Rob's day was a perfect blend of love, laughter, and memories. Lightsaber battles served as the perfect icebreaker, setting the tone for a day filled with joy. The couple even gifted scratch cards as favours, with no winner unfortunately (or they might have won it but snuck it in their pocket to avoid having to pay for drinks!).
The dance floor became a highlight of the evening, providing ample space for guests to enjoy the celebration and sing the night away, often brandishing lightsabers. Highlights from the dancefloor included "Saturday Night" which is the Bride's signature song - she was up she was up shouting instructions (even slipping on her dress once but being caught by the lead singer of the band Josh!). Also, during "Angels" the Brides father decide to orchestrate a wave along from the top of the stairs (making some dramatic photos!). Then finally, the groom has a tradition from university days in Newcastle that when "Country Roads" come on they all swing their tops around in the air. Luckily he couldn't be kicked out of his own wedding, as it was a lovely moment between him and his uni friends who are now spread out living in York, Wales and New Zealand!
We extend our warmest wishes to Mr and Mrs Tulip-Brear, hoping their journey ahead is filled with adventures, continued laughter and cherished memories. Their wedding reminds us that love stories come to life in the most beautiful ways at The Sun Pavilion.
